...whatever happened on this day, I would never forget...
It was my normal morning routine - waking up and sleeping again - that started my monstrous day. The news on TV had reported the fire that destroyed Wellcomm Plaza near the LRT Libertad Station. Because of this incident, the LRT route had cut - only until Gil Puyat. I just ignored the news and went on doing my daily routine.
Until I reached the LRT Monumento Station. This was the worst I've ever seen since I used LRT. Long lines of people, bored and worried. I, too, was bored and worried that I would be late for the 'examination' in Philo I. I was so desperate that I also waited for a jeepney, however all jeepneys are full.
Not until the LRT arrived and made every train a 'can of sadines' as they tried to fill each and every space with people. I was lucky to have gotten on the train that left 9:25 am. I also texted my blockmate, Joanne who is also on the risk of getting late due to transpo distress.
I was hopeful that time until the train stopped at every station for some time (the longest being 10 minutes) and had reached United Nations station at 10:15 am, 15 minutes late for our Philo I class.
Luckily, the 'exam' turned out to be a bonus one, with some of our blockmates late for the 'exam'. But the worst is yet to be expected. WE WERE ON SCHEDULE for the reporting! Our Philo I instructor told us last Monday that we were supposed to report on the following Monday, but.. but... OH NO! I and my reporting partner Raf - we're not ready! We do not have the Powerpoint yet!
It was the time I sat on the chair that I almost poured out my emotions. I was very disappointed. However, we were given the chance to report w/out the PPT. But disappointment covered me.
I was almost forgetting my problems. We had lessons in Histo I, went to Robinsons with my blockmate Franz, practicing for the CAS week, and even seeing Baron Geisler. Wee...
But the worst of all - I waited more that an hour to ride on the LRT! However, I was cool then, but my feet were aching. Six trains had passed by, and I haven't gotten into one. Until the next trains came nd I rode one.
I went home, so tired and depressed. I remembered that we were supposed to go to the early practice - 7:00 am the next day. And that ended one of my worst days of my life.
But, lesson learned. Be early, don't cram, and take things easily. Always remember that God is always by our side.
wee... Happy birthday to my father. /djgc 071908
